My experience as a volunteer

Last Friday,a sudden rainstorm struck our city,which caused severe damage.Some tall trees were blowndown and cars were covered with water.And somepeople were trapped because public transport was notavailable.

As one of the volunteers who were organized to helpthose in need,I guided some old people to the shelter andhanded out some basic necessities of life to them such asfood,bottled water,etc.They were extremely grateful forour timely help.

Though I was very tired when I got home atmidnight,I felt a sense of achievement.I felt proud that Ihad done something meaningful.
